The Compass Community Development Corporation is the outreach arm of Right Direction Church International.  It is  a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission to provide our surrounding community with educational, economic and empowerment resources, which in turn, facilitate a higher quality of life.

Our programs include

My Sisters Closet

The mission of My Sister’s Closet is to assist women who have experienced economic hardship due to divorce, domestic violence, and/or natural disasters by providing them with professional attire, thereby aiding them in securing a better life for themselves and their children.

The four core services of MSC are:
1. Clothing Assistance
2. Cover Letter Assistance
3. Job Readiness Workshops
4. Resume Assistance

Dee's Haven & Rev's House

Dee’s Haven is our transitional home for women, while Rev’s House is our transitional home for men.  Our mission is to provide safe living accommodations for individuals who are financially unable to secure housing due to economic hardship or life crisis. 

Our transitional home program is a comprehensive therapeutic and educational program designed to incorporate awareness, accountability, responsibility and empowerment. 

The Hub Community Learning Center

The Hub exists to assist the students (low income and at-risk students) and our community achieves academic and life success by promoting educational services, support, and life-long learning. The HUB is open Tuesday- Thursdays. The HUB provides the following services:
  • Tutoring Services
  • Homework Assistance
  • Computer Lab with free internet and printing
  • Life Skills and Professional Seminars and Training

Food Pantry

The Compass Food Pantry collects and distributes nonperishable goods to the hungry and working poor. The
Compass Food Pantry also provides a limited amount of personal and household items.
